I am pleased to announce that applications for the 2023-2024 Golisano Fellowship in Developmental Disability Nursing are now open! If you are a nurse interested in moving the state of health care forward for this underserved population, I strongly encourage you to apply.
The Golisano Fellowship in Developmental Disability Nursing is a twelve-month program designed to develop nursing thought leaders who support and promote the health and well-being of persons with IDD across their lifespan and settings. Applications will be accepted until January 1, 2023, and candidates will be selected by February 15, 2023. The Fellowship will run from June 2023-June 2024.
Our Fellows, Mentors, and Speakers
The Fellowship brings together experts and mentors with a wealth of experience in health care, intellectual and developmental disabilities and gives them an opportunity to pursue an overlooked or under-researched topic related to the health care disparities facing individuals with IDD and growing the body of knowledge for this underserved population, and inspiring the next generation of nurses.
The inaugural 2021-2022 Golisano Fellows and mentors came from across the US, Canada, and Ireland. They included nurse leaders, doctoral candidates, researchers, educators, policymakers, and more. During the twelve-month fellowship, they engaged with health experts from Yale Medicine, the Mayo Clinic, University College London, the University of Toronto, the Arc of the United States, and other individuals and institutions focused on improving health equity for individuals with IDD.
